About Torrey ThompsonWith a master of science in administration from Central Michigan University, Torrey Thompson began his management career as a United States Marine Corps Sergeant where he served as a ground communication supervisor and Marine Security Guard in Nicosia, Cyprus and Lima, Peru. The latter assignment was during a 2002 terrorist attack. He also held the position of shift lead with Masterson Personnel in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As such, he supervised more than 20 employees as they converted the Target Center between events. Torrey Thompson also consulted with upper management on employee deployment and staffing levels.
In 2011, Torrey Thompson moved into a senior management role as an operations manager for Georgia Bail Bonding Services in the Atlanta metropolitan area. For six years, he guided two of the company’s branches, handling a wide range of financial, personnel, and operational duties that included recruiting employees and conducting employee reviews. His accolades during this time include being named the company’s 2013 Manager of the Year.
Currently, Torrey Thompson serves as a General Manager for Amerilife and Health Services in Atlanta. In addition to managing the branch’s employees and recruiting and training new hires, he conducts seminars on topics such as Medicare and retirement strategies for members of the general public. An active member of the industry, he maintains a range of state insurance licenses and remains apprised of industry best practices through continuing education.
